028 C’mon get aff!

028 C’mon get aff! Dundee “clippie” George Duffus, in full conductress uniform, collects fares from the youngsters travelling on preserved Daimler number 127 AYJ379 which entered service in 1951. This bus was a familiar sight at the Open Days held at Dock Street depot from the 1970s. Taken in September 1990 this photograph also shows the beautifully restored interior of Dundee’s oldest preserved bus which is now in the care of Dundee City Council.
