SMR Diesel engine number 11 (Peris, built 1991) and modern passenger carriage at a misty Snowdon summit station.

Snowdon Mountain Railway is a narrow gauge rack and pinion mountain railway that runs for nearly 5 miles from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon almost 3,500 feet above sea level. Single carriage trains are pushed up the mountain by either steam or diesel locomotives.
