However it was taken to highlight the fact that advertisements had been added to Corporation buses since 1950, sadly covering the “Dundee†part of the bus livery. The destination above the platform was a post-war addition and the The “Cowan-Ad†label is a reference to the agency that sold space on buses in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
