1959 Leyland Titian PD3/3 Alexander lowbridge MSD407 D1543 Western SMT upper deck

1959 Leyland Titian PD3/3 Alexander lowbridge MSD407 D1543 Western SMT. Leyland O.600 engine.

New to Cumnock depot CD1543 (1959-1972) then Ayr depot AD1543 (1972-1978). Bought for preservation straight out of service and spent most of the time in storage. The bus is still as it was repainted in 1976 by Western and has just been cleaned and varnished. The engine has also been completely rebuilt.

On loan to Angus Transport Group for Caledonian Railway's Day Out with Thomas event.
